Mary (Ginny) Bowers moved to the Eastern Shore and joined the CWH team in 2014. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010 at Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia and was awarded her master’s degree in nursing, concentration in Nurse-Midwifery, in 2014 by Frontier Nursing University. Ginny then went on to complete additional training and in 2016 became dually board certified as both a nurse-midwife (CNM) and lactation consultant (IBCLC). Prior to advanced practice, Ginny worked in med-surg ICU, high-risk obstetrics, and out of the hospital in a freestanding birth center. Her passion is women’s health across the continuum of the lifespan. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and taking care of her ever-expanding zoo. Always learning, she loves to broaden her knowledge and always seems to have another topic of interest that she is currently researching. Ginny and her husband have fallen in love with the Eastern Shore and are grateful to be raising their two girls here.
