Elizabeth received her BSN from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and her MSN in Nurse Midwifery from Georgetown University. She also has a BA in Sociology from San Francisco State University. As a nurse, she worked in the Emergency Department and in an elementary school. She served two years in the Peace Corps and discovered her passion for traveling, teaching and empowering women. She had the privilege to travel to Uganda and Haiti, where she provided care to women in resource desperate settings. She believes that all women deserve to live with dignity and have control over their reproductive life choices. She is especially interested in family planning, inspiring fearless birthing and providing care that empowers women in all aspects of their life. She is also a certified yoga teacher and has traveled to India twice to study and teach yoga. She hopes to incorporate her yoga-inspired knowledge of the body into her midwifery care.
